VIOLATOR (1990)
Violator est le 7ème album studio du groupe Depeche Mode, sorti le 19 mars 1990. Considéré comme le meilleur album du groupe à ce jour pour ses qualités de production inventives et novatrices, il connut un important succès artistique et commercial.
Le titre Violator, qui est une double référence à la violation de la loi et à la violence sexuelle, est également un clin d’œil aux noms agressifs des groupes de heavy metal. L’image de la rose qui orne la pochette contraste avec ce titre provocateur.
